"Hey, Mom?"
"Yeah?"
"Did anyone ever call while I was gone to Camp for me to babysit?"
"No, not really. Maybe some the first week, but after that, none."
Few hours later...
*phone rings*
"Hello?"
"Hey, is this Christy?"
"Sure is!"
"We need someone to babysit tonight for about an hour to an hour and a half, you available?"
"For sure!"
I'm so incredibly blessed! Beyond words and explanation, He works His wonderful way. They hadn't even known that I was gone for three weeks! To have them call a day after I arrived home was a miracle! You must realize that I have no income this summer aside from babysitting and random odd jobs that I've picked up here and there. But nothing extremely steady.
Which is making me worry. I need money... like.. need, NEED money. Money of my own... that can't be given to me. And yet, as I wrote yesterday, I feel that He is honoring my sacrifice of three weeks at Camp totally as a volunteer (unless a Staff T-shirt and $10 tuck per week count). He knows that I need money in order to go on this missions trip to Colombia. And through my doubt, through my worry... He is showing me how much He can truly provide. I have only to be still... and He is here.
